I finally finished a quilt completely by myself! It is a small one, but I did everything on it myself. My other quilts I have just sewn the tops and taken them to the quilt shop to be finished. But this one I quilted and did the binding myself! Yahoo! I am so excited about it! Even though the quilting isn't very good. It is pretty lumpy and doesn't lay flat but the binding was really easy and it looks pretty darn good if I do say so myself!!! :) This quilt pattern was not very easy to sew either. This is, by far, the most difficult quilt I have pieced together. So don't look at it too closely! LOL

This is my World quilt. Each fabric represents a different country or island in the world. I participated in a swap for this quilt a LOOONNNG time ago and just now finished the quilt top. Each piece of fabric has an informational sheet on the country with a swatch of the fabric attached so I will put all those together in a book.

I took 7 quilts to the quilt shop today to be quilted!!! That is including the Year of the Dog quilt, the Asian quilt and the ladybug quilt pictured in the posts below. Here are two of them that I just finished. The first one is an animal attic window quilt. Each window has a different animal. (boy that was difficult finding all those different animals on fabric! Everything including lobsters, wolves, butterflies, raccoons, llamas, salamanders, ghekos, iguanas, buffalo, mountain lions, crabs, spiders, seals, deer, and jellyfish - and all the typical animals of course). The second one is a bold colors quilt in the turning 20 design.

Mia's Finished OHGWQ top!
Thanks to everyone who sent their love and wishes for Mia.

Here are 3 of the quilts I have finished. I did the tops for these myself and then took them to someone else to bind and quilt. You can click on the pics to make them bigger.

Red Quilt
It is a crib quilt size. The border is butterfly fabric and she quilted it with a butterfly pattern. Sooo cute. The back is cherry blossom pattern flannel.

animal attic window quilt.
Each window has a different animal fabric in it. This one is one I made for our new nephew. I am making Mia one as well but hers will be about double the size. This one is a little bigger than a crib quilt. Again, flannel on the back.

OHGW Scrap Quilt
This is the crazy quilt I made from the scraps of Mia's OHGWQ. The back of this one is not flannel but it is ladybugs and shamrocks. (I had to turn down the sheets on the bed to take this picture as the bedspread was clashing with the quilts. Looks kinda WT with no bedspread or pillows on the bed! LOL.

Here is my girlie cartoon quilt laid out on Mia's bedroom floor. It is made up of Strawberry Shortcake, care bears, my little pony, holly hobby, tinkerbelle, and pink panther fabric.

It is a turning 20 pattern but you can't really tell because of all the pink in it. Not really sure if I like the pattern with these colors but, hey, they are already cut out! I may try and rearrange the patterns some.

I have decided to stop posting individual squishes I receive. I have gotten so many!!! Thanks to everyone for sending them. I have decided to instead post pictures of the quilts I am working on. Here are the ones I am currently working on. The Year of the Dog quilt I just finished (top).

The next one is my Asian quilt. The squares are just laying on my spare bed right now (hope no one wants to come and visit!)

Then I have the Animal Attic Windows quilt. The rows are sewn across already. I need to sew the gold fabric between the rows and sew it together.

The last one is a ladybug quilt that is just laying on Mia's floor. Whew! I need to get going on these! I still have 2 more Animal attic windows to make too. One for Mia and one for my friend Julia's little boy. The one pictured here is for a gift for someone.
